Well you can bring almost anything broken to Repair Kopitiam:
Most of the time, there is a good chance that the item will be thoroughly repaired. However, should you feel the need to check, you are welcome to post your pictures and questions to our panel of coaches at Love Your Barang? Fix Your Barang!. Let the experience coaches tell you more details about the item.

Repair Kopitiam coaches are very experienced, so most things do stand a good chance of getting properly repaired. Drop in to the Repair Kopitiam in your neighbourhood where a Coach can guide you to mend the broken item. You need to join membership and book a time slot. we will check that a coach is able to guide you on the items, then bring your broken items to be coached to repair them
Repair Kopitiam is open every last available Sunday of the month. To get the actual date, time and location, please refer to the banner posted on our FACEBOOK.
Repair Kopitiam Singapore’s public coaching events are neighbourhood gatherings that usually take place on the last Sunday of each month. our banner on FACEBOOK shows the next date, locations and operation times.
When booking a time slot:
1. Alert us early (at least 3 working days) if you cannot attend your booking slot.
2. No show visitors may be banned from making future bookings
3. We will cancel any bookings that has no indication of repair items or more than 2 repair items.
Yes. You need to register an member account with us in order to access our event time-slot booking system. In the booking system, you will be able to see which locations are open and select the available slots.
Hint: Facebook cover photo shows the opening date and time to register your time slot at the start of each month.
After booking a time slot through this website, check your email for an approval email to ensure that the booking was approved. Make sure to arrive up to an hour before your time slot for attendance and temperature taking!
Please remember to bring your item with its necessary accessories so that we will be able to diagnose, repair and test.
Tools and common spares are available for use only at site.
Repair Kopitiam event is a meeting place where people come together to mend broken items. What you can do when you visit a Repair Kopitiam in your neighbourhood is to approach one of the coaches at hand and ask the same question. Who knows? Maybe somebody would be glad to help you out.

Electrical devices are machines that convert electrical energy directly to heat, light, movement or other forms of energy directly. They do not possess complex logic or ability to handle data. Of course nowadays, simple electrical appliances may also carry some simple electronics. Please read to the end of this reply to find out more.
Repairing electrical items have a high chance of success because:
1. common components – easy replacement
2. simple circuit – easy to learn troubleshooting
3. simple electronics, if any are usually easy to fix

Irons | rice cookers | blenders | turbo broilers | hotplates | bread toasters | kettles | instant pots | hairdryers…
Electronic devices are machines that move electricity in a certain way through components like ICs, diodes, capacitors, transistors, etc in order to perform tasks. They may possess the ability to handle logic, sense the real world, keep time, process data and carry out complex work.
Repairing electronic items have a high chance of failure because:
1. proprietary parts are not readily available
2. need very good knowledge of electronics & electrical
3. circuits are usually complex
4. requires specialised repair tools and test equipment.
5. you might need to buy proprietary components to replace in another RKS event
Note: The power supply portion of electronics are common faults. These can be repaired easily if the components used are common or easily available.

The Repair Kopitiam Singapore (RKS) helps local groups set up their own RKS. Simply ask for support. Do it as soon as you come up with the idea to start your own Repair Kopitiam! This prevents overlaps and makes it possible for us, for example, to put you in touch with other people in your neighbourhood who are interested in starting a Repair Kopitiam Singapore.
If you already have a group of enthusiasts, we would like to know more about your activities and how you go about your order of repair. To get yourself included as a part of the Repair Kopitiam Singapore movement, you will need to go through a series of lessons and purchase our Repair Kopitiam tool and equipment sets.

Repair Kopitiam Singapore is a fully volunteer run movement. To start a new RKS location, the venue must be able to provide the following:
Repairing, of course, is always a good thing no matter what name you use for that event. However, the Repair Kopitiam Singapore website is solely used to announce events with the name Repair Kopitiam Singapore. That way we avoid confusion and make sure the concept is clear.
We do heartily invite you to join our movement. To do so, you will need to go through the proper training and buy the same set of tools to offer similar repair services as the rest of Repair Kopitiam. So get in touch with us to start your own Repair Kopitiam Singapore in our location.
